Adolescentes investigados pela morte do cão Orelha retornam ao Brasil; celulares são apreendidos
A Polícia Civil de Santa Catarina monitorou o retorno dos jovens que estavam nos Estados Unidos e cumpriu mandados de busca e apreensão de aparelhos eletrônicos para perícia no caso que chocou a comunidade de Florianópolis
Dois dos quatro adolescentes investigados pela morte do cão comunitário conhecido como Orelha retornaram ao Brasil após estarem nos Estados Unidos, confirmou a Polícia Civil de Santa Catarina nesta quinta-feira (29/01/2026). A chegada dos jovens foi monitorada em conjunto com a Polícia Federal, que identificou a antecipação do voo e acionou as forças de segurança para cumprir mandados de busca e apreensão logo que o avião aterrissou.
A operação contou com o apoio da Delegacia de Proteção ao Turista (DPTUR) e da Polícia Militar, que apreenderam os telefones celulares dos dois adolescentes, que serão enviados à Polícia Científica para extração de dados, em busca de mais provas relacionadas às agressões sofridas pelo cão Orelha na Praia Brava, em Florianópolis (SC).
Investigação e diligências
Os dois adolescentes já foram intimados pelas autoridades e devem ser ouvidos em breve pela polícia. A apreensão dos celulares segue o mesmo procedimento de outros aparelhos recolhidos em operações anteriores, com a intenção de reunir evidências sobre o que aconteceu antes, durante e após o episódio de violência.
O retorno dos jovens acontece em meio a uma investigação mais ampla sobre o caso, em que quatro adolescentes são apontados como suspeitos, e pode ajudar a polícia a consolidar o inquérito. A Polícia Civil também solicitou a emissão do laudo de corpo de delito do cão Orelha para anexar ao processo.
Como foi o caso
O cão comunitário Orelha, presente há anos na Praia Brava e querido por moradores locais, foi encontrado ferido em janeiro de 2026 após sofrer agressões que lhe causaram lesões graves. Mesmo após atendimento veterinário, o animal precisou ser submetido à eutanásia em função da gravidade dos ferimentos.
O caso ganhou repercussão nacional e mobilizou debates sobre crimes de maus-tratos contra animais, com a Polícia Civil identificando suspeitas de envolvimento de quatro adolescentes nas agressões. De acordo com a legislação brasileira, por serem menores de idade, os jovens não respondem por crimes comuns, mas podem ser alvo de medidas socioeducativas previstas no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) caso a autoria seja confirmada.
